Synopsis. In Milwaukee, Harold “Smitty” Smith (played by Arthur O’Connell), a conniving truck driver forced into early retirement by the Interstate Transfer company, arranges for two friends to steal his old rig. Smitty intended the stunt as a practical joke—after all, in thirty years of driving, he had never been hijacked. When he realizes that the truck contained a $500,000 shipment of furs, Smitty tries to use the theft to get his old job back.
