Synopsis. Bradford Dillman stars as Lawrence Reynolds, a normally conservative banker who appropriates $1.8 million and flees for South America by way of Puerto Rico, where he purchases phony IDs for himself and his fiancée, Beverly Kingman (played by Davey Davison), as part of a plan to begin a new life in Brazil. Reynolds, however, has more than embezzlement charges and a Federal Reserve Act violation on his hands. He is also being pursued by Mike Burton (John Vernon), a dangerous thug who is out to collect the $100,000 in gambling debts that Reynolds owes to syndicate boss Joseph Lightner (Bill Quinn).
