    Synopsis. The daughter of recording star Darlene Clark (played by Nancy Wilson) is kidnapped one day after Clark opens at the Desert Dunes Hotel in Las Vegas. The culprit? Clark’s manager, Abel Norton (played by Hal Linden). While Norton demands a ransom of $100,000, his true motivation is to force Clark into making a public statement about an incident from three years before—a revelation that could shatter Clark’s well-crafted public image and possibly destroy her career.
