    Synopsis. As part of an effort to bring down a spy ring, Erskine poses as an Eastern European scientist who has offered his services as a double agent in exchange for refuge in the United States. The assignment poses two challenges: The man whom Erskine is impersonating is not only blind, but is an expert chess player—as is the leader of the spy ring.
