    Original Airdate: Apr. 10, 1966

Synopsis. In New Orleans, Erskine, Rhodes, and special agent Frank Benton (played by William Reynolds) investigate the kidnapping of Dan Winslow (played by Kurt Russell), the young son of multimillionaire developer Marshall Winslow (Lew Ayres), by a trio led by Logan Dupree (Wayne Rogers), an unstable ex-convict with a long list of priors—including murder and armed robbery. After phoning the elder Winslow and demanding a $300,000 ransom, Dupree impulsively shoots Forbes, the Winslow chauffeur, who was driving Dan in the family’s limousine when the crime took place. At first, Erskine catches a break when he learns that Forbes survived the shooting. But the impetuous Winslow, eager for a quick resolution, posts a $50,000 reward for information leading to his son’s rescue—a move that could jeopardize Dan’s life.
