Facing bankruptcy and a failing marriage, Roger Mason (played by Bradford Dillman), a research chemist and part-owner of a fuel development firm in Tucson, Arizona, cracks under pressure and develops a split personality that draws on his experience as a POW in the Korean War—during which time he was brainwashed by the Red Chinese.
