Coming soon to TV CONFIDENTIAL: Leslie Bertram Crane on her career working behind the scenes in network television, both in production and post-production. Leslie spent more than a decade in variety television, not only on weekly series but high profile specials and such live events as the Jerry Lewis telethon and two Oscarcasts, before becoming as a “switcher” on such top shows as Friends, The Drew Carey Show, and Murphy Brown. She’ll tell you what a “switcher” does, plus she’ll give you an idea of just how many plates are spinning behind the camera of most variety TV shows. Our conversation will air in a few weeks. Leslie is also co-author, along with her husband Robert Crane, of Burn The Ice, a book that details the adventures of two bartenders in L.A.
