Coming soon to TV CONFIDENTIAL: Emmy-nominated actress and producer LEE PURCELL on channeling her longtime love for old-time radio with the HOLLYWOOD RADIO PLAYERS, a troupe of actors who perform re-enactments of classic radio plays, via Zoom, to help raise funds for the Motion Picture and Television Fund. The most recent production of The Hollywood Radio Players is “The Magic Christmas Tree,” a holiday-themed episode of the Our Miss Brooks radio series that originally aired on Dec. 24, 1950, while the Motion Picture and Television Fund offers a variety of services that provide emotional and financial relief to industry members and their families who have fallen on hard times. Each production of The Hollywood Radio Players is free to watch on the Hollywood Radio Players YouTube channel; however, donations of any amount to the Motion Picture and Television Fund are encouraged (for more information, go to MPTF.com/donate). Coming soon to TV CONFIDENTIAL: Film and television actor LEE E. COX on how the set of THE WIRE was like a family environment in more ways than one. He also shares memories of working with Robert Townsend, Bernie Mac, and Chris Rock, plus reveals one of his favorite holiday traditions. Lee will soon be seen in SNAP, a new anthology series that will remind you of both The Twilight Zone and the British anthology series Black Mirror. Snap premieres Thursday 12/22 on ALLBLK, the popular streaming channel from AMC Networks that showcases black entertainment. Lee’s episode of Snap, “Black Lives Matter,” will air in mid-January.
