  1. THE COURIER
    Original Airdate: Jan. 15, 1967

Synopsis. In Los Angeles, the theft of confidential speculations for an atomic weapon leads Erskine to Juliet Sinclair (played by Ruth Roman), a noted humanitarian who is in town to accompany a young orphan girl, Linh (played by Cherylene Lee), to her new home in L.A. Sinclair is also the courier working with Communist spies to transport the stolen plans to China. Erskine believes that Sinclair’s orphanage in Chon-Quan, China is actually a front for a Communist spy ring—but he needs proof, and he must obtain it quickly. According to the Pentagon, if the Chinese government gets hold of the plans, it will gain at least a year on the U.S. in the arms race—a time gap that the feds can’t afford to have closed. Meanwhile, when Linh suspects the truth about Sinclair, her life becomes endangered.
