Synopsis. In Albany, New York, escaped federal convict David Mark Starret (played by John Vernon) kidnaps his twelve-year-old son from the parking lot of a medical clinic, unaware that the boy has acute leukemia and needs immediate medical treatment. The ensuing manhunt proves to be one of the strangest in Erskine’s career.
