Synopsis. Alex Cord stars as Eddie Haynes, an ambitious young capo in the New York crime syndicate who plots to execute mob boss Arnold Faber (played by Frank de Kova) and two other leading figures so that he can take over the organization himself. Haynes plans to make his move at his upcoming wedding to Haber’s daughter. When the Bureau learns that the wedding will be catered by an upscale private company that is not under mob control, Erskine poses as the mâitre d’ to prevent the assassinations. The danger escalates when a convicted extortionist whom the inspector once arrested arrives as a late guest.
