Synopsis. The government of Ciudad Cantero, a Latin American country, pays mafia operative Richard Shaefer (played by James Callahn) one million dollars to abduct a political opponent, Emilio Cruz (played by Gilbert Roland), and return him to his homeland. Acting on Bureau intelligence, Erskine and Colby race to Chicago—where Cruz publishes a weekly Spanish language newspaper, El Patriota, that criticizes the new dictatorial regime—to apprehend Shaefer and prevent the abduction. The task becomes difficult, however, when Cruz refuses any protection.
