  1. A QUESTION OF GUILT
    Original Airdate: Jan. 22, 1967

Synopsis. In New York, two drug pushers brutally beat up Joseph Spooner, a drug addict and career delinquent, after seeing him tip off police detective Frank Harris (played by Andrew Duggan) about a pending heroin deal. When Spooner dies from the beating, however, his assailants implicate Harris—the last man known to see Spooner alive, and a hardnosed cop with four prior charges of brutality on his record. Harris is suspended from the force pending a formal hearing, while the Bureau is called in to determine a possible civil rights violation. Erskine uncovers a vital clue that could clear Harris of all charges—a gold watch appropriated from Spooner’s body by a witness who saw the killing.
