  1. THE DYNASTY
    Original Airdate: Jan. 7, 1968

Synopsis. Two men (played by Ed Asner and Martin Sheen) kidnap the youngest son of industrialist Marshall Graham and demand $300,000 for his release. With Marshall Graham out of the country, Erskine meets with his eldest son, Phillip (played by Russell Johnson), a millionaire in his own right. Phillip, however, does not believe that kidnappers, blackmailers, or extortionists should profit from their crimes; therefore, he proposes not paying the ransom—a move that he also believes will help the Bureau locate and apprehend the kidnappers. Erskine says that he’ll comply, provided that Marshall Graham also agrees with Phillip’s decision. The matter becomes complicated when the elder Graham (played by Ian Wolfe) returns home from Europe incapacitated after suffering a stroke.
