  1. HOW TO MURDER AN IRON HORSE
    Original Airdate: Dec. 12, 1965

Synopsis. David Macklin stars as Howard Spencer “Howdy” Collier, a twenty-year-old psychopath with unresolved father issues. After blowing up a freight train belonging to the Dakota & Northwestern Railroad of Fargo, North Dakota, Howdy threatens to detonate a passenger train within seventy-two hours unless the company pays him $100,000.

Louise Latham also stars as Howdy’s mother. This marks the first of three FBI episodes in which Latham and Macklin played mother and son. Perhaps it’s just a coincidence, but there must have been something about the chemistry between the two actors that the casting personnel liked.
