via Gries Cinema Productions: HARLEM SCHOOL 1970, the “direct cinema” documentary filmed and directed by Phil Gries, will be screened on Thursday, Feb. 28 at the Maysles Documentary Center at City College of New York (CCNY) beginning at 6:30pm. A Q&A panel discussion with Phil Gries, along with filmmakers, educators, and students that appeared in the film, will take place after the screening. The event is co-presented by the Documentary Forum at CCNY, Third World Newsreel, and Maysles Cinema
