    Original Airdate: Feb. 13, 1966

Synopsis. Tony Award-winning and Emmy Award-winning actress Colleen Dewhurst stars as Amy Doucette, a mentally imbalanced middle-aged woman who kidnaps the infant daughter of a young couple that had hired her as a baby-sitter. Other than a strange obsession with the baby’s name (Katherine) and the date April 2, Doucette’s motive for taking the girl is not clear, while Erskine’s only clue is an imprint of a discarded note in Doucette’s handwriting from a stationery pad. The ensuing investigation leads the inspector to three East Coast states before a bizarre revelation at a North Carolina cemetery.
