Synopsis. In the thickly wooded San Felipe mountains of Northern California, Erskine braves the elements to track down John Omar Stahl (played by Vic Morrow), a Ten Most Wanted fugitive who had been scheduled for arraignment in a San Francisco federal court, but escaped authorities after his flight crashed in the wilderness. Besides bitter-cold temperatures and a pending snowfall, the inspector must ward off an ambush attempt engineered by Stahl’s equally treacherous brother.
