  1. FLIGHT PLAN
    Original Airdate: Mar. 5, 1967

Synopsis. After stealing a valuable painting in broad daylight from a Washington, D.C. gallery, art thief Robert Dewey (played by J.D. Cannon) flees to Los Angeles as part of an elaborate scheme to establish an alibi. His flight plan hits a snag, however, when he loses his wallet during a minor skirmish in which his rented motorcycle was struck by a car driven by Helen Meade (played by Antoinette Bower). After returning Dewey’s wallet, Helen falls for the bandit and they begin a brief romance. Meanwhile, Erskine’s investigation leads him to Henry Dodd (Murray Matheson), an L.A. art collector with a prior indictment for customs violations and fencing stolen works. Dodd has purchased other stolen objets d’art from Dewey, including a Buddha statue. When Dewey realizes that the Bureau is closing in on him, he knows that he must eliminate all loose ends before leaving town. That includes doing away with Helen Meade.
