  1. THE DEADLY SPECIES
    Original Airdate: Mar. 5, 1972

Synopsis. After breaking out of a women’s prison in Texas, federal fugitive Jean Scott (played by Penny Fuller) orchestrates a series of thefts, including the armed robbery of a restaurant in New Orleans, to raise enough money to support her young son, Tommy (played by Leif Garrett). The ensuing investigation leads Erskine and Colby to Lincoln, Nebraska, where the tightly wound Scott rapidly falls apart after Tommy rejects her.
