Synopsis. In Los Angeles, FBI Special Agent in Charge Bryan Durant suspects that the death of CI race car driver Jake Walling may be linked to a million-dollar interstate car theft ring. So does another CI driver, Bill Dean (played by Michael Callan)—particularly after Walling was killed shortly after telling Dean that the CI Garage chain owned by John Clanton (Tom Bosley) is a front for the operation. Posing as a race car owner and driver, respectively, Erskine and Colby head to L.A. to investigate the matter.
