Synopsis. About to face trial on charges of defrauding the federal government, Chicago industrialist Mark Tabor (played by J.D. Knowing that the government will interrogate the brash businessman about his syndicate ties, Corell has a contract put out on Tabor. After narrowly escaping the shooting attempt, Tabor flees Chicago and has himself committed to a psychiatric hospital. Erskine’s assignment: Pose as a patient in the same facility and take Tabor into custody before the mob tries to kill him again. Complicating the matter: Because Tabor has a known history of mental disturbance, Erskine must also determine whether his quarry is actually insane.
