Synopsis. In Green Haven, Oregon—a town with a large Asian-American population—Erskine and Rhodes search for Kenjiro Fujita, a former Japanese-American military officer who turned traitor against the United States and committed war crimes against POWs during the Bataan Death March, including several instances of brutal torture. A hubcap found at the scene of a hit-and-run accident in Green Haven reveals Fujita’s fingerprints. But when the driver turns out to be another man, Erskine’s only hope of identifying Fujita lies with surviving POW Eric Delbey—a severely traumatized man whom Fujita blinded during the war.
