Wayne Péré has worked steadily in film and television for more than three decades, including such top rated shows as Friends, That 70s Show, Tracey Takes On…, The Practice, Third Rock from the Sun, Nip/Tuck, Walker: Texas Ranger, Star Trek: Voyager, NCIS and, most recently, American Horror Story and the Freeform series Cloak and Dagger. His motion picture credits include SpiderMan: Homecoming, Out of Sight, The Limey, Galaxy Quest, Trumbo, Ocean’s Thirteen, Free State of Jones and Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down The White House.

Wayne Péré is currently seen as Dr. Emerson in the hit Sony/Marvel feature Venom, which, as of this writing, has earned more than $500 million internationally and more than $185 million domestically. Often cast as heavies (including Victor LaRue on Walker: Texas Ranger), Wayne will share how he approaches playing villains, plus we’ll talk about his work as a screenwriter and director, his approach to acting in general, why actors are often good directors, and some of the other film and TV projects that he has in the works. Wayne Péré will join us in our second hour.

Also joining us this week will be actress and screenwriter Christina Elizabeth Smith. Christina recently joined the cast of NCIS: New Orleans, where she plays Ginny Young (the assistant to Scott Bakula’s character, Dwayne Pride), while her other TV credits include Grey’s Anatomy, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and the daytime dramas Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless. Also an accomplished comedienne, Christina honed her skills in comedy improv with The Groundlings, 10 West, and Upright Citizen’s Brigade.

Joining the cast of a successful show midstream can be a double-edged sword for an actor. We’ll ask Christina for her thoughts on that, plus we’ll ask how she came to develop Pretext, a dramatic short that Christina wrote, produced and stars in that explores the phenomenon of pretext calling from both the POVs of rape victims and police investigators. Christina Elizabeth Smith joins us in our first hour. NCIS: New Orleans airs Tuesdays 10pm on CBS.
