via It’s Alive Media: The Ernie Kovacs Centennial, a year-long celebration of the life’s work of Television’s Original Genius, kicks off this month with Kovacsland Forever, a two-night live event at the UCLA Film and Television Archive on Friday 1/18 and Saturday 1/19. Then, on Wednesday 1/23 (Ernie’s actual 100th birthday), Turner Classic Movies will air a special mini Kovacs marathon beginning at 8pm ET 5pm PT that will include three iconic Kovacs TV episodes and four of his best-known movies. The two events in January are the first of several Kovacs celebrations that are scheduled to take place in the U.S., Canada and Europe over the course of 2019.
